My Experience

I have over 25 years experience of helping people achieve positive change. My background was working for the Government Training Commission in a consultancy then management role, helping young people and adults from diverse backgrounds and needs to achieve their potential. 

In addition to my established private practice I have worked in the NHS as an advisor and mentor and I am currently working as a Senior Counsellor/Clinical Supervisor (High Intensity) on the IAPT programme for a NHS trust. I also provide clinical supervision for two other NHS community teams. I am a specialist in bereavement and loss having trained with CRUSE Bereavement Care and currently offer supervision to CRUSE counsellors in the New Forest area. I have experience of offering counselling in the public, private, and charity sectors. 

I am a professionally qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). www.bacp.co.uk I am bound by and adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice. For example, I receive regular supervision and I am committed to continuing professional development. 

I am also a professionally trained and qualified clinical hypnotherapist and registered and accredited with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com and General Hypnotherapy Standard Council (GHSC) I am a trained and experienced CRUSE bereavement specialist/supervisor www.cruse.org.uk
